Homeopathic HCG Diet Part 4 — Consumer Reports Weighs In

hcg diet-homeopathic-fat loss bossFDA & Consumer Reports Take On The Homeopathic HCG Diet

Though the FDA has just forced the first of many homeopathic corrections to clean up the HCG Diet marketplace, it may take a while to see the full impact.

Today I’m gonna not ask you to logically reason out for yourself whether the homeopathic HCG Diet works or not, I’m just going to let the testing labs at Consumer Reports sort it out for you.

That way, you can see for yourself the case against the homeopathic HCG Diet protocol, and then you can make up your own mind from a more informed perspective.

Fair enough?

Now, everyone trusts Consumer Reports, right? Everyone I know does, anyway.

And I don’t know about you, but before I buy anything important, they’re my first stop and I bet you’re probably the same. Bet you never thought about using them to check things out before you did the HCG Diet. Yeah, me neither. But then, the homeopathic HCG Diet scam wasn’t running when I was on my HCG Diet journey.

Here’s what their labs have determined about the homeopathic HCG Diet. The highlighting, for emphasis, is mine:

“The most comprehensive analysis of homeopathy we know of – a 2005 review published in The Lancet of 110 placebo-controlled homeopathy trials matched with 110 conventional-medicine trials—found that any benefit from homeopathic remedies was “compatible with” the placebo effect. An accompanying editorial, “The End of Homeopathy,” said that the findings were less surprising than the fact that debate over homeopathy continues “despite 150 years of unfavorable findings.”

So what does all that mean? It means that if you go just on a Very Low Calorie Diet (VLCD) [in this case, the HCG Diet] and take the homeopathic HCG or a placebo, the result would be the pretty much the same – you would lose weight.

But… and it’s a very important but– on a VLCD without the real pharmaceutical HCG hormone dumping stored bodyfat into your system while you are on the HCG Diet, you’ll also burn up precious muscle tissue. And that’s to say nothing of the headaches and the sheer Will it takes to not eat, the accompanying drop in blood sugar and so on.

Can you say “Bad Thing,” HCG Diet or otherwise? I knew that you could.

Look, bottom-line — few people (if any), without being held hostage, starving in on a deserted isle, etc., can remain on a Very Low Calorie Diet for more than three days. Especially the HCG Diet.

And if you’re on the homeopathic HCG Diet, the weight you are losing is mostly muscle, which puts you on a yo-yoing diet, and will probably mess up your metabolism even worse than before your started.

It would have almost been better to be back sitting in front of the tube, stuffing your face with Ho-Hos and watching the brain cell-killing drek that is Two And A Half Men or anything involving the Kardashians.

Almost.

What’s The Big Deal About Rx HCG Diet Protocol?

But the promise of real Rx (pharmaceutical) HCG is that it not only boosts your metabolism, it resets your hypothalamus back to a time earlier in your life when you effortlessly burned fat faster than you could eat it –usually that’s your teenage years.

Additionally, pharmaceutical HCG is preserves your muscles while you lose the fat. Something homeopathic HCG utter fails to do because it cannot. In order to be labeled as a homeopathic substance, it needs to NOT have HCG in it. And no, a single molecule of the HCG Diet hormone is not enough. A minimum of 125 IUs is needed. You actually need more, but that’s beyond the scope of this article.

One company’s website made me tilt my head and is what sent me searching for sense… (*A little known fact about homeopathics is that you need to activate (success) them. What I mean by that is; that you hold the bottle in one hand and pop or slap the bottom on the bottle on the other hand 10 times.) is a direct quote from http://powermaxnutrition.com/dosage-diet/

When I read in your blog that there is nothing but an ‘imprint’ in the homeopathic drops, it made more sense… I imagined myself slamming the bottle in my hand, cursing rhythmically at the 200 dollar ‘remedy’ that failed to work!

My favorite part was this: “…you need to activate (success) them.” “Success” them? What kind of English is that? Woof.

Re: the imprint. That’s not just me saying that. I’m just reporting the facts. Many homeopathic sites talk about the “imprints.” As does Wikipeida, as does Scientific American, the science journal Nature and as I pointed out, Consumer Reports.

Like I said before, you can’t make this stuff up.

    > I imagined myself slamming the bottle in my hand, cursing rhythmically at the 200 dollar ‘remedy’ that failed to work!

I’m laughing at the image that conjures! So glad we kept that from happening, aren’t you? Thanks for your contributions, and making me laugh, of course.

What kind of product do you have to slap to induce success?

Yes, I am very glad that we avoided the scene of myself in the kitchen beating and cursing a 2oz bottle!

    > What kind of product do you have to slap to induce success?

Lol… Outside of babies at birth, I can’t think of any! Even then, it’s no guarantee of success.

Hey, maybe babies are more “homeopathic” than we thought? Hmmm…

115 lbs on 5 ea 21 day cycles on HHCG.

What a joke you would even post this.

  15. Coach Walter says:

You do realize what you said makes no sense, right? Are you claiming you lost “115 lbs on 5 ea 21 day cycles on HHCG.”

If so, let’s see something to back that up. This is the Internet, anyone can say anything. Let’s see your proof and l’ll gladly post it.

  16. Jessica says:

HCG platinum drops interacted with my birth-control pills. I have been on this birth control for almost 10 years. I took it at bed time every night it was habit. I started HCG drops and 2 weeks later I got pregnant. I lost 20 pounds before my missed period. BEWARE: IT DOES EFFECT YOUR BIRTH CONTROL PILLS. USE CAUTION.

  17. Coach Walter says:

Lol… with all due respect, Jessica – that ain’t it. It’s IMPOSSIBLE for “HCG Platinum Drops” to cause you to get pregnant. Sorry, but it was something else.

Since this product has no REAL HCG in it, it could not have caused your pregnancy. Even if it had real Rx HCG in it, it STILL could not have caused a pregnancy. In 60 years of its existence, there are NO documented cases of HCG causing a pregnancy.

I highlight this because this is the virulent nature of HCG misinformation. You THINK there was a cause and effect situation and you’re speaking it as an absolute truth instead of a theory. Same reasoning process is why some folks think Cheerios and protein shakes work on the HCG diet.

So… sorry, something else caused your pregnancy.

I mean serious, Carmen Electra? Homeopathic? What WERE you thinking?
